In addition to workshops, networking and development opportunities, our National Programme also offers Assistant Director bursaries – giving one member of each of the groups the chance to work as an assistant director on a production at their local venue.
We are grateful to the Trusts, Foundations and individuals that support this work. From 2013-2017 the Assistant Director Bursry scheme was supported by the Leverhulme Trust Arts Scholarships Fund, The Carne Trust (Sherman Cymru) the family of Bob Carlton (Birmingham Rep). Yet again this year, JMK were able to deliver two Assistant Director bursaries in the North of England with the support of The Victoria Wood Foundation.
We have awarded 58 bursaries since the launch of the scheme in 2013.
