#JMKSpace: Working with a Fight and Movement Director with ‘Kombat’ Kate Waters
A discussion about what a fight director does, when you think you might need one and how best to work with one. Also considering how to ensure, as a director, that a fight director can do their best work.
The session will take place 5.00 – 6.30pm on Wednesday 12th May on Zoom.

Kate Waters also known as Kombat Kate has been a fight director for 20 years and works in theatre, TV and film. She has worked on many shows in regional theatres, the National Theatre, RSC and the West End. Her work has also been seen across the pond in NYC. For 10 years she has worked on Coronation Street choreographing the action for many major storylines. Recently she choreographed the fights for the NT’s film of Romeo and Juliet which was shot over 17 days in the middle of a global pandemic.
