#JMKSpace: Hiring a Creative Team: A How To Guide, with OpenHire
Finding a capable, trustworthy, friendly creative team can be difficult. A murky system of agents, AV checks, recommendations and social connections can be difficult to navigate, especially if you’re an emerging director, or a mid-career director working on a small budget. OpenHire is a new campaign that provides a platform to allow freelancers to hire other freelancers in a fair, open and transparent way. You can describe the person you’re looking for, the outlines of the job, and then meet potential collaborators in whatever context makes you and them feel comfortable and safe.
Led by founders Josh Roche and Derek Bond, this workshop will take you through the very simple steps of using an OpenHire process, answering any questions you might have and offering some small pointers on the recruitment process. Derek and Josh will also be happy to share any advice they have on what to look for in a creative team, if that’s useful. This workshop is perfect for: emerging directors just starting out, mid-career directors looking to diversify their team, or any director looking to meet new creative collaborators.
The session will take place 5.00 – 6.00pm on Tuesday 4th May on Zoom.
This free #JMKSpace event is open to all and there are unlimited places available. To apply to take part please complete the form at the bottom of this page no later than 5pm on Friday 30th April.
