#JMKSpace: Developing New Plays and Dramaturgy with Papatango
Led by Papatango’s George Turvey and Chris Foxon, this workshop will explore the process by which they develop and produce new plays from early-stage writers. It blends analysis of trends in writing for the stage with practical exercises to road-test scripts and explore new drafts.
The session will take place 6.00 – 8.00pm on Monday 22nd February on Zoom.
This free #JMKSpace event is open to all and there are unlimited places available. To apply to take part please complete the form at the bottom of this page no later than 5pm on Friday 19th February.

If you have any further access requirements, need technical support or have any other questions, please indicate on the form or contact jo@jmktrust.org.
Papatango champion emerging playwrights, especially people otherwise without pathways into theatre. They support over 4000 writers each year through a wide range of opportunities, all completely free, open to anyone and anonymously assessed. Writers given their break with Paptango have gone on to win BAFTAs, OffWestEnd and Royal National Theatre Foundation awards and premiere in over 20 countries, while Papatango productions have toured the UK, winning Critics’ Circle, OffWestEnd and Alfred Fagon awards. Chris and George recently drew on their experience with Papatango to co-author the best-selling Being A Playwright: A Career Guide For Writers, acclaimed as a “phenomenon for playwriting good” (Steve Waters).
